11/10/11 - 2 National League level meetings for Sam

Sam scored 1+1 for the King’s Lynn Young Stars in the meeting against the USA Touring Team which was abandoned after Ht 13 due to the bad weather, the result was KL 45 USA 36.

Next stop for Sam was at Newport again riding for the Young Stars this time Sam faired better finishing on 7+2, he was unbeaten in his first 3 rides. King’s Lynn clinched the away win against Newport, the final result was  43 - 46.

05/10/11 - Young Stars Vs American Touring team

The American Touring team have arrived and it’s time for them to kick off their first meeting of this tour against a King’s Lynn National League Select team. The two major changes to the Stars team is the introduction of Aussie Tom Armstrong and also that of Sam Woods at reserve. After spending most of this year in Denmark, Sam will make his return to riding in Britain in style by lining up for the Norfolk side in the reserve birth. Tapes are up at 7.45pm at King’s Lynn’s Norfolk Arena - if you can make it to King’s Lynn tonight make sure you do as it should be a cracking meeting.

13/07/11 - Injury Update

Sam came off his bike on the 23rd June while racing in an individual meeting at Randers, Denmark. In the process he broke his left wrist in 5 places and also broke a bone in his thumb on his right hand. He was operated on in Denmark and is now recuperating in England while he will be in plaster for 6 weeks, to view the video of the crash please go to click here.
